Hey folks!
It has come to our attention that not everyone who "Likes" our Facebook page is going to receive every photo, link, or notice that we post there. This is caused by Facebook's internal "EdgeRank" algorithm that is used to calculate the "Popularity" of a post, and then determine how many of the page's "Likers" are going to receive it based on this calculation.
This has frustrated many small businesses, page owners, and users savvy enough to know what's going on when trying to make sure that everyone gets all the news and updates in their news feed. It's frustrated us too!
However, there is a way for individual users to bypass this and ensure that they get every post from a page irregardless of the "EdgeRank".
1) Hover your mouse over the "Like" button on the Zojoi Facebook page (If you have yet to "Like" the page, click on it. If you already have "Liked" the page, DO NOT click on it. That will cause you to "Unlike" the page.)
2) A drop down menu will appear when you hover over the button. (NOTE: This feature might still be in the process of being rolled out by Facebook, so it might not work for everyone yet.)
3) Select the "Get Notifications" option so that there is a checkmark next to it.
4) Scroll away from the menu to make it disappear.
5) Updates from Zojoi will now not only be guaranteed to appear in your news feed, but also appear in your "Notifications" area where the "globe" icon is in the upper left corner of the page.
We won't be posting new updates there constantly to the point that it floods your feed, so you shouldn't have to worry about it clogging up.
This is an "Opt-In" feature that Facebook introduced recently and it is, indeed, a pain in the rear. It also requires us asking you, the Zojoi fan, to take action as opposed to us (which really isn't fair).
However, the alternative on Zojoi's end is to PAY Facebook for "Promoting" a post in order to guarantee delivery to everyone's news feeds. This can get expensive if we have to pay for each post we make and frankly, if we had that kind of money to spend on advertising, we wouldn't need to have a KickStarter campaign to begin with!
We encourage all of our Facebook fans here on the Forums to share this information on your own Facebook Timelines so it will appear in the news feeds of your family and friends too.
This information applies to ALL Facebook pages and not just Zojoi's, so even if your friends and family aren't interested in Zojoi, this information might interest them because there might be other pages they aren't getting all the updates from.
